R.I.P. John Shrapnel
John Shrapnel was in the remake of 101 Dalmatians when he played Mr. Skinner, now I know what he sounds like on account of I can hear him talk in this scene from Partition.
Terribly sad.... One cannot help but wonder what would have happened had there been no Partition... Everyone lived together prior to Partition so why did the British do this .. why was Jinnah agitating for a separate State for t he Muslims when they had lived together for centuries... and why was it divided in such a way.....
KAVAFIS not Carafay. At least if you are talking about the most famous greek poet.

John Shrapnel is an outstanding actor. Much underrated and one of the best spoken voices - up there with Burton and Hurt.
1871 is the name of te film, made in portugal in 1990

Well the hell can I find this film? I've been looking for it for 15 years!
She asks a question and we suppose a popular meaning of ghosts to her q,. He redefines ghosts, and then talks about that instead. This is called "evading the issue". Socrates would call D. a sophist. The unsuspecting will end up at least confused. shame on Derrida!

This is an excellent film by a master film maker with excellent actors. It deserves to be seen by everyone.
